Shea Fashion is proud to announce that our Executive Director, Will Lopera, has been named the recipient of Pawtucket's Hispanic Heritage Month Impactful Community Leader award. This prestigious recognition highlights the outstanding work Lopera and the Shea Fashion team have accomplished in uplifting the youth of Pawtucket through creativity, empowerment, and the transformative power of fashion.
Lopera has been an inspiring force at Shea Fashion, spearheading programs like Runway to Confidence. These initiatives focus not only on fashion but also on helping young individuals explore their creative potential, build confidence, and develop skills that extend far beyond the runway.
"This recognition means so much to me, especially as it reflects the work we've done as a team with the talented and diverse youth in our community," said Lopera. "Watching their creativity blossom and using fashion as a tool for growth has been incredibly inspiring."
Will Lopera extended heartfelt thanks to Mayor Don Grebien for the honor and acknowledged the vital role of mentors, collaborators, and supporters who have contributed to Shea Fashion’s mission. He emphasized that this award is shared with everyone who has been a part of the journey, especially the youth whose passion and creativity drive the organization forward.
Together, Lopera and Shea Fashion continue to build a brighter future for Pawtucket—one that’s rich in possibility, innovation, and community pride.
Shea Fashion looks forward to continuing its mission of empowerment and creative exploration, with this award serving as a testament to the transformative impact that fashion and mentorship can have on young lives.
